CENTER OF GRAVITY

Center of Gravity

The center of the gravity of an object is the point located at the center of an object’s weight distribution. For a symmetrical object, such as baseball this point is at the geometrical center. The center of gravity of a piece of tile cut into the shape of the triangle is 1/3 of the way up from its base. A solid cone has its center of gravity ¼ of the way up from its base.
